Ayr Shopmobility is run by 4 full time members of staff and a dedicated team of volunteers. All our personnel are trained in Moving & Handling techniques and first aid, all drivers of the mini bus are trained to MIDAS and the full time driver is a DAT, trained in E&EP and PS. A group of volunteers give freely of their time to act as companion shopping escorts, and to escort people safely on and off the mini bus. All volunteers are are trained in Moving & Handling Techniques and this training is updated every year. More about our volunteers
